Live Jazz at The Big Bang
On alternate Wednesday evenings, at 8pm, the Big Bang provides some of the best Jazz, Soul and Blues in Bristol, helping promote local musicians and local food and drink. We provide a unique, candle lit, intimate setting for a wonderful evening of entertainment.

Daisy Palmer (trio)
Female drummers are not quite as rare a hens teeth, but it’s a close run thing. Daisy Palmer is however not just female and a drummer, but she is an excellent exponent of the art, playing with flare, dynamics and true jazz finesse. Joining Daisy will be the much talked about Alex Hawkins on keyboards and great all around bassist Paul Jefferies. Expect a night of exciting jazz from this great trio. |

Aneesa cooked up a real musical storm at our Oxford venue last year with her ‘Eastern Flavours’ trio. She sings with passion and great accuracy – you will be impressed with this excellent jazz songstress. For our Bristol gig, Aneesa performs an eclectic jazz set with Martin Pickett (keys) and Paul Jefferies (bass). |

Musical interplay between these three fine musicians promises to create a fine evening’s entertainment. Hutchings is a talented composer and guitar player with great flare, Nash has a gorgeously lyrical touch and Jefferies has all the tools needed to underpin with driving rhythms and carefully chosen harmonic roots.
